Join us for our newest sewing and machine embroidery event! Learn from Janome Expert Amy Meek as she teaches the All Rulers No Work class and more. Learn to use your Janome embroidery machine for the first time or come learn a new technique. Either way, you will take your experience to the next level. For Janome embroiderers who have never done ruler work, keeping the inspiration big and the project small is key. This class will make Ruler Work approachable and highlight how to best use your Janome embroidery machine for your new projects.
Day 1: Learn how to set up your Janome embroidery machine, practice free motion movements. Learn how to sew straight-line quilting with the Janome Ruler set, and create a custom design on the machine.
Day 2: Transition more heavily to machine embroidery, working through learning 3 small Kimberbell projects.
Both days will host a 6-hour class, which will include a lunch.

Amy has traveled the United States and Mexico demonstrating and educating both the public and authorized dealers on Janome sewing machines, sergers, software, and apps. She always brings an enthusiasm for sharing just the right sewing technique to get the job done.
She teaches basic sewing, garment construction, and pattern making at every level. Her classes range from children and adult, from very new beginners to honing advanced techniques in a university setting. Amy has also developed a program as a paraprofessional therapist. In her course, she teaches sewing and quilting to adults with chronic mental illness and traumatic brain injuries.
