Riccar R40 Sensor Error Repair
Does the brush roller of your Riccar Tandem Air R40 vacuum turn off? If you struggle with this intermittently and you already know that there is no clog in your machine, it is possible that one of your sensors has gone bad. While this is a complicated repair, it is possible to do at home with the right knowledge. Take a look at our YouTube video for a walkthrough of how to perform the fix!
On higher end vacuum cleaners, like the R40, there is a sensor inside that determines when the brush roll stops spinning. This is to help make sure that the machine is not injured if you accidentally catch the edge of a rug, or pickup something larger than the vacuum can handle. Sometimes, the sensor gives a false positive, and the red warning light at the base of the vacuum turns on.
