SEBO: The Anti-Allergy Vacuum Cleaner
Allergies are an increasing problem that affects the lives of more and more people around the world. They can be much more than sneezing, itchy eyes, and rashes. Some may not be aware of it, but allergies can start in our homes, and not just in our air. There is also dust caused by us living in our homes that can cause the same effects, along with pet hair or dander.
SEBO understands this problem and has created a solution—the anti-allergy vacuum cleaners. In this blog post, we will discuss the SEBO vacuum cleaner and its filtration system, to help you understand how it works, and what it can do for your allergen-prone family.
What is SEBO’s S-Class Filtration System?
Any good quality vacuum can make the floor clean, but SEBO is one of the few companies that produce anti-allergy vacuum cleaners that can make the air clean as well. This is thanks to its hospital-grade S-Class Filtration System that ensures the air that you breathe is allergen-free and safe.
As a German company, the “S” stands for “Schwebstoff”, which directly translates to the term “airborne particles”. SEBO’s S-Class Filtration meets the European standard, and it surpasses the more usual North American term “HEPA-Filtration”.
The HEPA standard involves a filter that absorbs up to 99.97% of dust and dirt particles down to 0.3 microns. While SEBO’s S-Class filtration features a hospital-grade filter that absorbs 99.9% of dust and dirt particles down to 0.3 microns. While it may seem to be extremely minimal, it can still be of great value in terms of the quality of air that you breathe in your home.
The Three Stages of Vacuum Cleaner Filtration
All SEBO vacuums possess a three-step filtration system, with each stage trapping different types of particles. These are consisting of:
- A three-layer ultra filter bag
- A pre-motor micro-hygiene filter
- An exhaust micro-filter
With all of these layers of filtration, your home isn’t just going to be clean, but it is going to be allergen-free and safe, allowing you to have a healthier environment. You can be certain that the vacuum you are using will be trapping nearly all types of dust particles, including dust mites, bacteria, pollen, spores, and pet dander.
Tightly-Sealed Vacuum Bags
The exhaust air scrubbing brush rolls not only clean the floors but also filter what goes through into the full. So no matter how powerful a vacuum is, its effectiveness will be drained if the bag isn’t sealed correctly. This is why SEBO’s vacuum bags are 100% sealed from seam to seam. This ensures that all of the pollutants will stay inside the vacuum instead of escaping through the bag, whether it has been half-full or completely empty.
Electrostatic Filtration
Electrostatic filtration uses statically charged micro-fibers to trap particles, which is much safer than the commonly used bag filtration. All of the dust and dirt particles from the air stream are being bonded onto the fibers to prevent the air from being re-circulated back into the floor, while also trapping more dust and bacteria. This feature allows a smoother airflow, which also improves the suction performance while maintaining an effective filtration.
The Anti-Allergy SEBO Vacuum Cleaner
SEBO’s anti-allergy vacuum cleaners are specifically designed to produce a cleaner airflow for your home, which means that they can more effectively keep out the allergens rather than simply trapping them in the bag. They are available in all SEBO upright and canister vacuum cleaner models.
Some tests done by the British Allergy Foundation show that SEBO’s filtration system removes 100% of the dust mite allergen. This is why together with the National Asthma Council of Australia, SEBO received two seals of approval to their SEBO K, SEBO X, and SEBO Felix models.
