Dyson Vacuum Not Powering On
If your Dyson vacuum won’t turn on, there a few likely culprits. First, make sure there is no clog in the machine as outlined above. If you have a clogged hose or power head, your Dyson vacuum will automatically turn itself off to protect the motor. If there is no clog in your machine, the power switch may have failed. Replacing this is a fairly straightforward task once you have the switch, especially with our Dyson DC07 / DC14 power switch replacement video below.
You can find the power switch for Dyson models (DC07, DC14, DC17, DC18, DC21, DC23, DC24, DC25, DC26, DC27, DC28, DC33, DC37, DC39, DC41, DC39C, DC52, DC54, DC78, UP13)Â here.
If the power switch is not the issue for your Dyson vacuum cleaner, the next option is to replace the cord assembly. Finding a cord for your model can be pain depending on what Dyson vacuum you have, but here is a list of some of the cords that you may need for your repair that we have in stock:
Dyson Vacuum Brush Roll Not Spinning
Dyson vacuums are amazing machines that can make quick work of even the most stubborn dirt and debris. However, one of the worst problems you can have with your Dyson is the wire loom. This really only affects Dyson Ball and the Dyson model DC50 and soft carpet Dyson ball are notorious for it. The wire loom in a Dyson is a complex multi wire assembly that snakes from the top of the Dyson all the way to the power head. If you find that your power head is not turning on but the rest of the vacuum is turning on this might be your problem. The issue with this repair is not that the wire loom is expensive. It is the insane amount of labor needed to complete the repair. Most repair shops will decline this Dyson vacuum service due to the time needed to complete it. So if you find yourself in need of this repair, be prepared for a hefty price tag! Visit our partners, https://www.fakewatch.is/product-category/rolex/sea-dweller/ – leaders in fashionable footwear!
Thankfully, there are few easier things that could cause your brush to stop spinning. If you have a more modern Dyson ball vacuum, including models DC65, DC66, UP13, UP19, or a UP20 Dyson, the problem could likely be the power head assembly. This can result in either the entire brush roll not spinning, or just one side of the brush roll not spinning. It’s a very easy repair and you can find the power head below. Note that the power head does not include a new Dyson brush roll or a new base plate, so make sure to save those from your machine.

If you have a model DC40, DC25 or DC24 when it comes to finding a replacement for your Dyson power head, you have a few options. You can try to find an older model that uses the same head, or you can try to find a reconditioned or rebuilt head. However, the best option is to buy a new power head from Dyson. This way you know you’re getting a quality product that will last. The problem is Dyson discontinued them many years ago and stopped making parts so getting a new one will be hard.
