Serger Fundamentals 101
This 2 part class will give you the confidence to serge like a pro! Bring your serger , or let us know if you would like to use one of ours. The first class will cover:
- How to thread your serger, including a quick color change shortcut
- How to diagnose tension issues
- Learn what differential feed means, and when to adjust it
- Practice serging several different fabric types, and record your tension settings so you jump right to the perfect setting at home.
- How to clean your serger to keep it running smoothly
- How to rip serged seams quickly, without making a huge mess
Worksheets with space to record your machine settings and completed samples will be provided, so that by the time you leave you’ll have your own little book to reference at home.
* Your serger must be in working order, we will not have time to repair machines during the class. If your serger isn’t working, please drop it off ahead of time with our repair technician.
