Keep everything handy in this lightweight 7¼”H x 4¾”W bag. Vinyl, mesh, and a zippered fabric pocket will hold a name tag or ID card, phone, and credit cards or cash. A fabric strap, whose length is determined when binding the edges, can be customized to wear around the neck, over the shoulder, or crossbody.
This is an ADVANCED BEGINNER level sewing class. We will be putting in a zipper, preparing and using bias binding, quilting, using vinyl, sewing curves and using a walking foot.
Please be sure your machine is in working condition and you are familiar with the operation.
Items needed:
- Sewing Machine that does a straight stitch. Don’t have a machine? Don’t worry! When signing up for the class, please select “I Need to Borrow a Machine” and we will have one set up for you.
- Walking foot, zipper foot, and general-purpose foot
- Main and coordinating fabrics: one fat quarter of each
- Soft and Stable*: 12″ x 8″
- Lightweight Mesh*: 6¼” x 5½” (Optional)
- Clear Vinyl*: 3¾” x 4¾”
- 20mm fold-over elastic*: 5½” (Only if using mesh)
- Handbag zipper*: 7″ or longer single-slide zipper

- Sharp rotary cutter, straight cutting edge, cutting mat
- Coordinating color sewing thread with 2 bobbins filled
- Sewing tools (scissors, clips or pins, stiletto or purple thang, seam ripper)
