Learn to Sew – Machine Sewing Techniques (Defensive Sewing)
April 9 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$60.00
So, you have completed your Drivers Ed class, can “drive” in a straight line and go around corners. You are now ready to fine tune your sewing skills. Even if you have sewn in the past and just want to brush up on your skills, this is a great class for you too!
In class will learn and make samples of the following:
- Sewing machine feet and their uses
- Seams (8 different), Seam Finishes (4 different)
- Techniques (corners, curves, gathers)
- Plus more!
Items needed:
- Sewing Machine that is in working order and will sew at least a straight and zigzag stitch. Don’t forget your power cord! PLEASE, PLEASE, please do not bring a machine that you do not know how to use or have not tested to make sure it will stitch. Because this class is to learn how to sew on YOUR machine, we will not have machines to borrow.
- General-feed presser foot is all you that is required, but you can bring the following if you have them (straight stitch foot, quarter inch foot)
- Scissors, pins, thread (bring several in contrasting colors), bobbins, extra machine needles (just in case), small ruler
- You will be given a handout to make notes on, so you will need something to write with, but you might want a notepad or extra paper
