New Embroidery Class Alert! Make Four Landscape Rug Mug Coasters
Are you new to machine embroidery or just want to learn something new? Join embroidery expert Patten Laurel and learn how to make these cute landscape mug rug coasters. The entire mug rug is made IN YOUR HOOP with your embroidery machine. Several techniques are taught in the class- applique, turn and flip, quilting in the hoop, and attaching backing to make a complete design “in the hoop” (ITH).
Each landscape coaster will be finished in one hooping! We will be making at least two of the 4 mug rug coaster designs in class. We will start with the Cactus and Lake mug rugs, and progressing to the others if time allows. Pre-made kits purchased from Vacuums R Us will include supplies for all 4 mug rugs. You will receive all four designs in 3 sizes (4×4, 5×5, 6×6) so even if you have a small hoop machine, you can make these cute mug rugs! Start now for holiday gift sets!
What to Bring
Bring your embroidery machine, in good working order (don’t forget your power cord and a 4×4 hoop!); small scissors to trim up close (duck bill if you have them); assorted embroidery threads in blues, greens, browns, yellow, and white; a bobbin wound with white; and at least 2 empty bobbins for the outside border of the landscape mug rugs.
The landscape mug rug embroidery design will be sent by email and should be downloaded to your machine or on a USB stick. Please note: we will ONLY be doing the 4×4 size coasters in class. In case you do not get the download by email, please bring a USB stick and know how to transfer it to your embroidery machine.

Two ticket types are available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own materials, or purchase a ticket for Vacuums R Us to prepare and provide the materials for you.
